Nestled on the top floor of our meticulously refurbished 1910 Victorian barn, the Hermosa Suite is a jewel-toned retreat that forms a vital part of our historic Fredericksburg Boutique Hotel Hybrid project. With its vibrant burst of playful patterns, opulent jewel tones, and rich textures, this attic sanctuary is a space that beckons you to indulge in a perpetual state of delight, a realm where time seems to stand still.

Drawing inspiration from the gemstone-like colors of the exquisite rug, we adorned the space with an antique chandelier crafted from rock crystal, rose quartz, and amethyst. Aptly nicknamed the “Good Vibes Chandelier,” our design team acquired this treasure at an auction, and it now graces the Hermosa Suite with an aura of enchantment. Above the majestic Portuguese bed, an ornate Portuguese mirror captures the essence of old-world regality, while an 18th-century Spanish baroque desk adds an exquisite touch.

Between the windows, a portrait of a guitar-playing girl, acquired from a talented artist in Ukraine, captures the soulful rhythm of this space. The fireplace area is reborn with a brilliant checkerboard Zellige tile, infusing a contemporary vibrance into the room.

At the heart of the suite, a cozy seating area takes form, featuring an antique coffee table and a leopard chair crafted from ethically sourced goat hide. In the light-filled bathroom, a drum pendant with a fabric shade casts a soft, inviting glow. Mirroring this elegance, an identical pendant shade graces the vestibule at the bathroom’s entrance, creating a symphony of illumination.

One of our most rewarding challenges was selecting the perfect wallpaper to harmonize with the room’s intricate roofline. We opted for a scenic, organic wallpaper that gracefully envelops the space, avoiding abrupt pattern interruptions. The lush garden mural wallpaper, in particular, radiates around the inviting blue banquette, adding a touch of serene beauty to the Hermosa Suite.
