THE MENAGERIE - The Bungalows
Near the lush vineyards of the Texas Hill Country, prim exteriors belie an unruly spirit of The Menagerie, an enchanting boutique hotel in the former mansion home to Fredericksburg’s first mayor. An inherent flamboyance to the Queen Anne style build, erected near the turn of the century, is amplified in eclectic, idiosyncratic interiors. This estate includes several surrounding cottage style bungalows from the 1930s, each appointed with care. Motifs trail like vines across the property while each room celebrates individuality. Said one writer, “These aren’t rooms you check into and wonder what all the fuss was about.”
A color drench in this 1930s-era cottage creates an endless golden hour.
Grace
Elegant Louis XVI-style marble-top rosewood nightstands perfectly compliment the burlwood headboard and black lacquered Chinoiserie.
The charm of this 1930s cottage lies in its layered textures and nostalgic appeal, where design elements interweave with a grandma chic flair to create a space that feels both familiar and fresh.
Aurora

Every detail was chosen to offer warmth and emotional fulfillment, transforming a simple cottage into a space that feels truly special and uniquely personal.
We put the rose colored glasses on with a color drench in A Little Bit Alexis, reaching for the same metaphorical surge of joy and inevitable good spirits. We build a 1970s mood through a Milo Baughman swivel coffee table and chandelier from the era. Multicolor marble wallpaper and brass accents elaborate the palette.
Alexis
Every element of this space was designed to evoke delight, transforming it into a place where happiness feels inevitable.
is impossible to experience without feeling a surge of joy.
