THE LEONA
Lake Flato designed eight cabins tucked into Lockhart’s historic district. The architecture was thoughtful and restrained. Our job was to make the interiors feel connected to the place around them.
Lockhart has its own rhythm. Rural Texas, old brick buildings, dance halls, smoke in the air. We sourced vintage pieces with age and character, then layered in contemporary furniture that respected the architecture without feeling too polished.
The balance between old and new is what makes the project work. It feels tied to Lockhart instead of dropped into it.
Developed by Recats and crafted in collaboration with Lake Flato, this eight-cabin retreat balances modern elegance with nods to Lockhart’s rich architectural heritage.
Each space invites guests to experience a thoughtfully curated atmosphere, where vintage art, custom furnishings, and vibrant color palettes transform every corner into a journey of comfort and inspiration.
From the north-facing bedrooms warmed with soft hues to bespoke pieces like our striped Italian-inspired sofa, The Leona offers an immersive stay that celebrates the past while embracing the present.
