HILL COUNTRY SPEAKEASY
The clients had a Jimi Hendrix guitar they wanted framed for the speakeasy. While sourcing artwork for the room, we landed on a vintage photograph of Hendrix holding a guitar like theirs. Later, when the guitar came in for framing, the authentication papers slipped out. Inside was the exact photograph we had bought. The guitar in Hendrix's hands was the one we were framing.
The building started as a vintage car garage on the property. Now it's filled with pool tables, Golden Tee, velvet seating, conversation areas, and a mirror ball hanging over the main room. At the far end sits a classic British phone booth that opens into the speakeasy.
Inside, we brought in the original Ruth's Chris bar, banquette seating, antique mirrors, velvet chairs, and collected artwork throughout the space.
We designed it for live music, drinks at the bar, late conversations, and every kind of night in between. People drift toward it and stay longer than they planned.
