NASHVILLE FARMHOUSE
Built in the late 1800s by the client’s family, this farmhouse underwent a full renovation to preserve its history while adapting for modern life. By restoring original elements like brick fireplaces and salvaged wood and layering in vintage finds with modern touches, we created a warm, inviting home ready for today’s family gatherings.
In the entry, a refinished chest found on the property offers a nod to the home’s legacy. The living room centers around the original brick fireplace, with a family heirloom rug, mismatched chairs, and a verdant skirted table adding cozy charm. A tapestry from the Paris flea market, Majolica plates, and a tortoiseshell mirror bring vibrant color and texture.
In the dining room, antique Windsor chairs surround a table draped in Schumacher fabric, with a tole chandelier and braided rag rug adding warmth. The kitchen’s minimal decor respects the farmhouse’s original character.
The primary bedroom continues this curated theme, featuring vintage pieces and heirloom textiles, including an Art Deco floral rug and antique bedside tables.
